Notes for admissions committee:

Logjam is written for the Columbia Gorge Sinfonietta who will be premiering the work in June 2026. I have performed with this group many times since 2022 (both as a concerto soloist and as part of the percussion section) and I am intimately aware of the group’s strengths and limitations. I intended to write a piece that is, above all, fun to play, but also highlights the individuals and sections in the ensemble with the most experience.
