Logjam (2026)
Duration: 5’00”
Ensemble: 3222+hmca/2221/timp/2 perc/harp/piano/strings
Premiere: This piece has yet to have a formal premiere.
Program Note:
Logjam is written for the Gorge Sinfonietta of Hood River, Oregon. Knowing the orchestra’s capabilities and having a close relationship with its players, I wanted to write a piece which is primarily enjoyable to play, while also highlighting their strengths. The result, much like the rivers which define the region, is a piece which is equal parts exhilarating, lively, turbulent, and perhaps best enjoyed with a can of Rainier.
